Bisly is establishing its presence in Poland with the appointment of a new Country Manager Maciej Tomaszunas to lead its market entry. With over 15 years of international experience in business development and strategic partnerships, he brings a wealth of knowledge of both Nordic and Central European markets.
We sat down with Maciej to learn a bit more about his background, passions, and vision for establishing a strong foothold for Bisly in the Polish market.
Please tell us a bit about yourself, your background, and previous experience.
I bring over 15 years of international experience in business development, market entry, and strategic partnerships across Central and Eastern Europe and the Nordics. I grew up in Sweden from an early age, which gave me a strong cross-cultural perspective and a deep understanding of both Nordic and Central European business environments. After returning to Poland, I’ve focused on helping Swedish and other international companies expand into new markets, developing strategies, building relationships, and driving measurable business growth.
I’ve collaborated with leading architectural firms, consultancy companies, and global organizations, always with the aim of introducing innovative solutions to new markets and ensuring successful local adaptation.
I enjoy an active lifestyle, with tennis and biking being my favourite ways to stay fit. Travelling is another passion. I love discovering new places and cultures and make it a priority to spend quality time with family and friends. Whether it’s a competitive match, a scenic ride, or a weekend getaway, these moments keep me energised and inspired.
How do you see your new role at Bisly and what will be your main focus?
As Country Manager for Poland, my main goal is to establish Bisly’s footprint in Poland and build a strong market presence. I’ll be focusing on market entry strategy, identifying and securing partnerships with developers, integrators, and consultants, positioning Bisly’s innovative building automation solutions as a go-to choice for forward-thinking projects. My approach will be hands-on, with a strong emphasis on building trust and long-term relationships in the industry.
What are you most excited for in your new position?
I’m particularly excited to join a young, proactive company with an amazing culture — a team that combines innovation, vision, energy, and genuine collaboration. I thrive in dynamic environments where ideas move quickly from concept to execution, and Bisly offers exactly that. On top of that, working with a truly innovative product that has the potential to redefine how buildings operate in Poland makes this opportunity even more rewarding.
What makes this role different from your previous positions?
In previous roles, I often worked on expanding established products and services in mature markets. At Bisly, I have the opportunity to introduce a brand new, cutting-edge solution to the polish market and build the foundation for long-term success. This means shaping the strategy, creating the ecosystem, and directly influencing how our technology is adopted in the market, which is equally challenging and exciting.
What kind of opportunities do you see with Bisly’s partners?
The Polish market is at a turning point, with growing demand for energy-efficient, sustainable, and digitally integrated building solutions. Bisly offers our partners the chance to differentiate themselves, meet regulatory demands, and deliver future-proof projects. Whether it’s working with developers, integrators, or consultants, I see enormous potential for collaboration that benefits everyone, from project owners to end-users. There are certainly automated systems that have been on the market for a longer time, but I’m convinced that Bisly’s innovative solution enables seamless integration of our own with locally produced hardware combined with our outstanding software. For our customers, Bisly’s solution is not only friendly for the end user, but we also introduce an easy way to plan and install the solution in order to create an overall positive experience.
How do you see Bisly making a difference in how people view modern living?
Modern living is no longer just about aesthetics or location—rather it’s about comfort, efficiency, and sustainability. Bisly integrates building systems like lighting, HVAC, and access control into one intelligent platform, making daily life more convenient for residents and operations more efficient for owners. This shift not only improves the quality of living but also changes how people think about the value and performance of their buildings.
What do you most hope to gain from this opportunity?
I want to establish Bisly as a trusted and recognised brand in Poland, build a network of long-term partnerships, and contribute to shaping a smarter and greener, user-friendly built environment. Personally, I’m looking forward to learning from my colleagues, sharing my own experiences, and being part of a team that is passionate about making a real difference in the industry.
