The beginning of May saw Bisly welcoming Sascha Stuckmann to the team as the company’s new Business Development Manager for the DACH region. Sascha brings over 15 years of experience in building automation and a clear vision on how to help Bisly establish a strong foothold in the DACH market. Taking pride in his ability to forge strong partnerships, he’s eager to drive sustainable growth in the region alongside innovative industry leaders. We sat down with Sascha to learn more about his vision for Bisly and the exciting opportunities he sees ahead.
Welcome to the team, Sascha! Please tell us a bit about yourself, your background, and previous experience.
Thanks! I’m thrilled to be a part of the team. I come from over 15 years of experience in building automation across various roles. For the past six years, I’ve been responsible for the business development of a US-based HVAC sensors manufacturer in Europe. After graduating from university, I spent three years in Canada where I gained my first experience in business development and international business. My strength lies in building strong partnerships based on trust and equal cooperation.
How do you see your new role at Bisly and what will be your main focus?
It’s an incredibly exciting time to step into the role of Business Development Manager for the DACH region. My goal is to increase Bisly’s visibility in this market; to become the voice and face of the company in Germany, and to drive fast but sustainable growth–especially within our defined target groups: project developers, electrical system partners, and wholesalers. This includes working closely with our marketing and sales teams to increase brand awareness and visibility, supporting our partners throughout all project phases, and further developing and executing our go-to-market strategy tailored specifically to the DACH region.
What are you most excited for in your new position?
I’m most excited for two things: firstly, bringing Bisly’s innovative smart home and building solution to the market–a product that has all the potential to make smart buildings a mainstream offering. Secondly, the opportunity to truly shape the future of smart living in Germany and help grow this market.
What makes this role different from your previous positions?
This is my first time working in a startup environment and even after just one week, I already feel the difference. The energy of the team is completely different from my previous roles. There’s a strong sense of drive, momentum, and shared purpose and I’m excited to be part of it.
What kind of opportunities do you see for Bisly in the DACH region?
Timing is everything, and I believe we’re entering the market at the perfect moment. Currently, smart home solutions are mostly seen as luxury features, especially when it comes to multi-residential developments. With Bisly’s innovative approach, the market can become accessible to everyone with a fully integrated building automation system that improves comfort and convenience for every resident.

Sascha Stuckmann
How do you plan to drive business and partnerships at Bisly?
I want to bring our solution into real-world projects alongside innovative developers and system integrators. Our focus will be on delivering clear added value–from energy savings and greater comfort for users to easy installation and eligibility for funding. This will create a strong foundation for sustainable growth and a solid market position.
What do you see being your biggest challenge in the role?
Convincing customers how easy it actually is to integrate smart home solutions and how much added value and convenience they offer to the end user. We’re disrupting the status quo by giving both building owners and residents more transparency and control over the data and operations of the building which have thus far been very analog and limited in terms of user interaction.
How do you see Bisly’s products shaping the real estate world and making a difference?
As I mentioned before, it’s all about disruption. Bisly challenges the status quo by offering a smart home solution with a completely new approach–especially for residential buildings. It eliminates the need for complex programming and installation, enables detailed control across building systems, and makes data accessible–all of which increase the comfort of every occupant.
How will your role align with that?
My role is all about bringing this vision to life. I see myself as the connector between Bisly’s technological innovation and the needs of the real estate market. I plan is to work closely with developers, integrators, and stakeholders to make Bisly’s disruptive approach a practical reality. This applies to buildings, everyday user experience, and industry thinking. I want to change how the industry views smart living. It’s about turning potential into realized impact.
What do you most hope to gain from this new opportunity?
I joined Bisly because I was looking for a new challenge and the chance to grow–both personally and professionally. I want to take on responsibility, help shape our presence in the German market and play a part in making smart home solutions a standard in residential buildings, not a luxury that often leads to frustration. Smart building automations should become a practical solution that adds real value to our everyday lives.
