Regardless of how great your product or service is, if people don’t know about it, its value and impact are insignificant. Bisly is passionate about making a difference in the real estate world, creating a more sustainable future and making modern luxury living accessible to everyone. We know that the success of our mission depends on our people, which is why we are continuously bringing on new, like-minded people to help us expand and introduce our innovative product to a larger audience.
We started this week by welcoming Filip Mlody, our new Head of Demand Generation to the team. With over 14 years of experience scaling B2B SaaS companies, from emerging startups to global enterprises, Filip brings a wealth of knowledge in demand generation, product-led growth, and lifecycle marketing. Having honed his skills across the globe, Filip is now ready to build and scale a high-impact, data-driven marketing engine for Bisly. We sat down with Filip to find out more about his background, experience, and plans for the new role.
Welcome to the team, Filip! Please tell us a bit about yourself, your background, and previous experience?
I’ve spent the past 14+ years helping B2B SaaS companies scale — from scrappy startups to global enterprises. I started my career in the US, followed by over a decade in London’s tech scene and a one-year stint in New Zealand, before settling in Estonia. Along the way, I’ve led growth and marketing efforts across a mix of startups, scaleups, and global organisations like Xero and Mimecast.
My expertise focuses on demand generation, product-led growth, and lifecycle marketing, always anchored in data-driven decision-making. At the core of my work is building scalable acquisition systems and aligning marketing with product and sales to drive real, revenue-focused results.
Outside of work, I love hiking, the outdoors, and nerding out over sci-fi or fantasy books.
How do you see your new role at Bisly and what will be your main focus?
At Bisly, I see my role as the Head of Demand Generation as building and scaling a high-impact, data-driven marketing engine that drives measurable growth across existing key markets as well as opening new ones in the DACH and the UK. My main focus will be on developing effective demand generation strategies, aligning closely with sales, and optimising efforts to attract, convert, and retain new customers.
What are you most excited for in your new position and working at Bisly?
I’m really excited to work on something that has such a direct, positive impact on the world. Helping to accelerate the adoption of smarter, greener buildings feels like meaningful work, the kind you can be proud to be a part of. I’m also looking forward to the energy of a fast-moving team, where we build things together, learn quickly, and constantly evolve. There’s a lot of potential here, and I’m excited to play a role in unlocking it.
What makes this role different from your previous positions?
What really sets this role apart for me is working with a physical product — something you can actually see, touch, and experience the impact of in the real world. It’s a refreshing change after years in pure software, where success often means automating existing human capabilities rather than creating entirely new ones at scale. On top of that, being embedded within the sales department is a big plus – I’m looking forward to close collaboration that allows us to drive growth together.
What will be your approach to growth marketing at Bisly?
My approach to growth marketing at Bisly will be rooted in data, cross-team collaboration, and experimentation. I’ll focus on building a scalable demand engine that connects tightly with our sales efforts and speaks directly to our buyers’ real needs, from developers to building owners. That means mapping out, testing and optimising every step of the funnel, aligning closely with sales for seamless lead handoff, and using insights to constantly refine our messaging, targeting, and channels. I’m a big believer in starting with quick wins, learning fast, and layering in more complex strategies as we scale. It’s all about momentum and making sure marketing is driving real, measurable business growth rather than vanity metrics.
How do you see Bisly making a difference in the real estate world and in how people view modern living?
Bisly is reshaping what “smart” means in the real estate world. Instead of being a luxury add-on, smart building technology becomes a standard — accessible, scalable, and sustainable. By making intelligent automation affordable and easy to implement, Bisly is helping developers and building owners shift from outdated, inefficient systems to ones that are future-proof and energy-conscious. It’s not just about tech; it’s about creating healthier, more comfortable spaces for people to live and work in, while also dramatically reducing energy waste. That’s a game-changer for the industry and for how we define modern living.
What do you see being your biggest challenge in the role?
Stepping into a more commercial role where marketing, growth, and BDR management all come together is something I’m genuinely excited about. It’s an opportunity to align strategy with execution across the entire revenue funnel. The challenge will be staying sharply focused amidst all that scope: making sure we’re clear on the biggest levers for growth, aligning efforts across teams, and resisting the temptation to chase too many things at once. That focus is what will make everything else click.
What do you most hope to gain from this opportunity?
I’m really looking forward to growing into a more commercial leadership role — one that brings marketing and sales together to drive end-to-end growth. It’s a step beyond just generating leads; it’s about owning the full journey and building a unified strategy that converts interest into revenue-based results. I’m also excited to deepen my understanding of how to scale demand for a product that exists in both the physical and digital worlds — navigating the complexities of the B2B real estate space and finding smart, scalable ways to bring Bisly’s innovation to the forefront.
